It all began on Friday, when Joakim, a friend of Trond´s came over and we had a great time at the local comedy club and a trip to the local irish pub. We got great seats up front at the comedy club, so we even got included in the show, which was great fun. The guy doing the main act was really funny, even though that was what I expected, after all, he´s working as a comedian. But the place was packed and we had a good laugh.

Then on Saturday, Trond and me went to visit Jude and Lucia, some friends he has that lives in Williamsburg, to atted Lucia´s surprise birthdayparty. We were all going out to eat, but before that we stopped by a shop where there´s christmas all year. It even snowed inside! Then we went to a local Italian resturant called Sal´s, where a big group of Lucia and Judes friend were waiting. They had great food and the waiter came out with so much food that in the end it looked like a real italian dinner, food everywhere. When we were done eating, we want back to Jude and Lucia to have a party. Then we got to spend the night at their place, so we were ready for the next day.
On Sunday we went to Colonial Williamsburg. The place was wonderful, they had kept it like it was in the days of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. We even got to see the church they used to attend, and sit in the same seat Washington used to sit. That was a special feeling.
People were also dressed up in colionial clothing and there was a horse and carridge that rode around in the streets. In a way I guess this is a great way of learning about what really happened with America in its early years, as it brings everything you´ve read and heard so much closer when you can experience it up close and personal. Luckily it´s not the busy season now either, so the streets weren´t as crowded as they can be in the summer.
After that we went to the outlet store, where they have all sorts of brand shops, so I got to do some shopping as well.
All in all it was a great weekend that introduced me to both some very nice people and a wonderful experience.
